Rachel grew up in Litchfield, MN and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2012. She worked for a year and a half as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at a dementia care unit in Dassel, MN before heading to Portland, Oregon for her physician assistant (PA) training. She graduated from Pacific University with her master's in physician assistant studies in 2016 and joined a general pediatric clinic near Portland. Rachel joined Wayzata Children’s Clinic in 2018. She is board certified in all ages and performs well-child exams with a special clinical interest in managing asthma and diabetes.

She enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and chasing around her golden retriever, Jack. She and her husband Patrick head North to the family lake cabin whenever possible to waterski, fish, and spend time with family.
